(Shagg Pond, Bald Mountain [left], Speckled Mountain [right])

I'm a lifelong Mainer who grew up in very rural Woodstock, Maine with my parents, grandparents (who lived next door), and two siblings. We lived in the Shagg Pond/Bald Mountain area, where my family has had roots since the 1930s.
I learned a gelatin plate printing technique in high school, when I went to the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and have been working with that medium ever since. Photography came a bit later, and I taught myself the basics through practice and experimentation.
